INXS and Andrew Barr

So as reported from the field, INXS flew into Canberra today to shake Andrew Barr’s hand and announced INXS are going to play at the upcoming Englighten festival come tourism marketing exercise.

Below is a photo essay of the circus. Andrew’s blonde tips were stunning.

UPDATE: Andrew Barr’s very excited media release, complete with photos, is now online.

Yeah current INXS are a poor excuse that prey on people that won’t except that the 80s and Mick Hutchence are dead and buried.

Poor INXS, they really are flogging a horse that died many years ago.

Where was Michael?

He was tied up.

INXS really should have quit after Hutchence wanked himself to death.

Just pathetic now.

Where was Michael?

I’ve noticed that the publicity for the festival aimed at interstate audiences makes no mention that the March festival is (or should still be) the Canberra Festival. So it’s Andrew “Ashamed of Canberra” Barr along with “Hates Gardens, Hates History”.

What is the difference between Andrew Barr and INXS?

One is well past their prime and struggling to stay relevant with the youth of today

The other is a band

Jon Stevens couldn’t make it as he insisted on changing seats just before take-off.

Wow I like so totally saw that awesome chopper flying towards the lake from my office window, it was so cool, it like flew along and then went down then disappeared behind the trees. I couldn’t believe it was actually thise INXS guys on board, I was like wow and OMG to all my workmates. If I wasn’t like employed I could have seen them for real but thanks Johnboy for the next best thing, a totally cool slideshow taken from the ground they actually walked on today.
