Geocon’s The Grande on London residential development is fast approaching podium level and ready to drive above-ground construction in force.
Master planned by award-winning architect firm Fender Katsalidis with landscaping and urban design by Oculus, The Grande will feature “ample resident-only amenities” that include a modern co-working space, rooftop pool and pavilion, fitness centre, library, cinema and more.
The developer’s timeline looks to be well and truly on track, with construction set to be finished on the cloverleaf of Allara Street and London Circuit in late 2025 and settlement planned shortly after.
Project manager Hugo Villano says reaching ground level is a significant milestone in the development’s progress.
“We’re now at lower ground floor level on two buildings and ground floor level on the third, which is an exciting milestone for the project,” he says.
“The Grande on London is a landmark project for us, holding a brilliant location as one of the last residential developments before you cross the bridge. With our underground structural works complete, we are set to reach stage three of construction in February 2025.
“Technical aspects aside, it’s a great opportunity for the public to watch our project take shape on street level.”
The Grande’s three buildings will feature a mix of residential, commercial and social/recreation spaces connected by a central courtyard.
With gorgeous views of Commonwealth Park and Lake Burley Griffin, it’s no wonder there are fewer than 150 contemporary one-, two- and three-bedroom units left.

The inner city development is already reaching and exceeding those expectations – more than half of 332 units have been snapped up by a mix of investors and owner-occupiers, despite being on the market for less than a year.
“We did expect a high level of interest as we understand there are very few new apartments forecast for delivery in the city centre over the next few years, and The Grande is something extraordinary,” Andrew said.
