Facebook informs that the legendary Greenroom is materialising in the Woden Tradies in March.

If things go well and you all go along it could be around longer!

For the month of MARCH the Greenroom shall take up residence at the Woden Tradies Club and test the waters of live music to incite a new permanent venue.

The following gigs will take place;

Fri 2nd, British India – Doors 8pm – Indie
Watch out Canberra BRITISH INDIA return to the ACT for the opening night of the Greenroom in Woden. The boys last played the ACT 1 year ago and are looking forward to getting back to the capital again. British India will also showcase some new material from the up coming album at the Greenroom show.
Indie champions British India have been holed up writing and recording new songs and the reaction to the new material has been outstanding. The band is currently negotiating with record labels and publishers for release of their new album in August 2012. The bands first official single I Can Make You Love Me has been taken to radio and will be available from iTunes on March 20th.
Having smashed their way through sold out shows and festivals across Australia there seems to be no stopping the 4 school friends from Melbourne. British India have achieved 2 top 10 Aria albums in recent years Thieves 2008 and Avalanche 2010 they are listed as the 6th highest played band on triple j radio in the last 3 years. They have scored 4 entries into the popular Hottest 100 and have been nominated for 3 ARIA awards. Be prepared and strap yourself in for the ride! Supported by locals – Clay Pidgeons

Thurs 15th, Closure In Moscow – Doors 8pm – Rock / Metal

The Impeccable Beast introduces a new rhythm section, Duncan Millar on Bass & Salvatore Aidone on drums and a fresh direction for the band. The track is a giant step forward for CIM with killer beats influenced by Motown grooves, a huge chorus and a good time feel whilst still maintaining super amounts of guitar riffing
To celebrate the release of the new single CIM are pleased to announce a national tour taking in 12 shows with special guests Strangers as main support for all shows except WA. Then fully warmed up CIM will fly OS to headline tour dates throughout the UK and Europe (25 shows) in Apr/May, with the plan to release their sophomore album for later in the year. Ahhhh, IVOV NOB. Great night that was at the Green Room.

If anyone is ever chasing 30+ year old women under the influence of nostalgic vulnerability, get to that gig!

I still remember years ago reading one of their large advertising posters at the Gratton, advising what was on upstairs, and one of the bands had the interesting name of ‘Gash Rash’. Often wondered how famous they became.
