Come and be delighted by an evening of dynamic music for flute and guitar.

The energetic Grettovska Duo will present a program of works for this classic combination.

From Tango legend Astor Piazzolla and nostalgic arrangements of mountain songs by Robert Beaser, to the mesmerising rhythms and lyricism of the Baltic Atanas Ourkouzounov.

Don’t miss this rare opportunity to hear two of Australia’s unique musicians in the beautiful acoustic of the Wesley Music Centre.

Flautist LINA ANDONOVOSKA graduated from the ANU school of music in 2008. She has recently returned from a 3 month residency at the Banff Centre and is currently a fellow with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. Lina has appeared with the Andi and George band in various venues across Australia. Guitarist HAROLD GRETTON is currently a PhD candidate at the ANU school of music. Intending to graduate in June this year, he has won numerous international guitar competitions, and is about to embark on a European concert tour.

If there was a matinee session, I’d probably go and take the kids. Why is everything on in the evening? The matinees I’ve attended for various acts always seem well patroned. More matinees please!
