The Jindalee Plague

There’s been quite a lot of national media covering the rash of deaths at the Jindalee Nursing Home in Narrabundah.

Today’s Canberra Times reports that the workers at the home are being afflicted by the illness too. They have, however, recovered.

Apparently it is an influenza strain.

If you’re up for a bit of a laugh, and live in the inner south, you could always call ACT Health and tell them all your chooks have just died.

Canberra Hospital is a good place to get an infection or three.

Having not recently smoked a chicken or a duck, I can confidently say that I have not got bird flu.

or any flu for that matter….

My mother works there. Apparently it is a strain of flu that wasn’t in this year’s vaccination.

It was brought into the nursing home after a resident came back from a stint at Canberra Hospital.

All staff have now been immunised against this strain of flu and have been given a round of Tamiflu medication as well. A number of halfwit staff (my mother included) were convinced that it was HN51.

Nooooo. You will make the life of the people at the Emergency Department at TCH (in particular) a living hell. How about saving that for when it really happens?

hehehehe…

Seriously dark….

Evil! Love it.

jb, you are a bad man
