One would like to think the Shadow Treasurer of this nation would be a busy man.

But it seems Joe Hockey had nothing better to do yesterday than take a cardboard cutout of Kevin Rudd around town (pretty much all Inner South we note), take photographs, and tweet.

Here’s the full tour:

Anyone amused?

I think HC in #2 misses the point too, if I tweeted a photo it doesn’t necessarily mean that I took the photo. However I may think the photo is brilliant, and that’s why I tweeted it. This seems to be the case here. Whether you agree with and like the tone and content of the photos or not is opinion, don’t let opinion cloud the facts.

Oh crap I forgot this is RA, where logic has no place when it comes to political issues in the comments. Carry on!

That’s funny because I didn’t actually offer my opinion. What I said was pretty clear and it has a broader context than the Rudd gag, so I cbf explaining it for you again, haha.

Shouldn’t have let his twit feed be used to publish it if he doesn’t like having his name on it.

Hockey having his name attached to it has nothing to do with actually performing the act. He never said he was the one taking the photos. This appears to be a case of “how I use Twitter is how everyone else uses it”.

But meh – this is opinion, not news, and I see the point you’re making (even if I personally think it’s a bit silly).

Hey, I’d rather Hockey was doing this than working on economic policies!

Who said he doesn’t like having his name on it?

Twitter does not equal real life, no matter how hard you try to spin it JB. I seriously doubt Hockey was the one dragging the cutout around, perhaps he didn’t even write the twitter comments.

If anything, perhaps this suggests his office has too many bored staffers.

+1. I really doubt Joe Hockey spent his time doing this.

The Hock has finally cracked.

Ha, the one with the paper and the one at Aussie’s are quite good.

The best use of a ComCar and Parliamentary staffers I have ever seen. Bravo!

What?!? Like he would only visit embassies as the PM and not as the Minister for Foreign Affairs? Wish I had enough time in my working day to head out and do something like this 🙂

I actually find this mildly amusing, in a silly way, but they could have made it MUCH funnier with a bit of mischief and creativity. Sticking him out the front of embassies, that’s a bit lame. Out the front of Mustang Ranch now…

I like that Rudd much better than the real one!

Whatever. Real life will dictate that if Joe Hockey uses his name in this context (or anyone else for that matter) then he is responsible for it.
