The Mad Bomber is back!

Back at the dawn of history, when RiotACT was getting started, we had a few stories about things going Kaboom! around town.

It’s all dropped off in recent years, until this Easter long weekend that is!

It started with a Canberra Times piece (amazingly with a picture) of a wheelie bin in Duffy sent to meet its maker. “Scary Stuff” as they say on Stateline!

But wait, it get’s worse! The ABC reports that a Chifley post box was also obliterated over the weekend.

I think we can all see the pattern here people… and it can only get worse…

in the good old days before crackers were banned, many kids learnt to appreciate dangerous things.

now everything remotely dangerous is banned and we send kids into the world with no idea.

I was going to post about the Chifley post box when I saw it that morning, but didn’t have a camera. It didn’t occur to me that it was an exploding thing – I assumed someone had ripped the door off and pounded it with a pipe.

A racial attack lol been watching a bit to much violence on tv I think.

I’ll admit i’ve been a mad bomber in my immature youth. Not in the past 3 or 4 years though.

As a lad, I would have been proud of both

1) The genuine effectiveness of one of my babies (as demonstrated by the photo), and
2) The media attention.

Ohhh, Those were the days – Nothing was terrorism related, and you didn’t get accused of being racist.

At least they did it in the middle of the night, when nobody was likely to walk by.

Twas much simpler then.

Cue: People whining about safety… Think of the children they will cry!!!

Now, as a responsible adult, I am obliged to say:

You are all very naughty childern…

Not Duffy, Kambah. Nothing bad ever happens in Duffy.

I dunno Ralph, Uni went out last week, but I don’t think my old college goes out until Friday this week. I am more surprised at the fact things have slowed down in Holt, it used to happen more often here. I suppose just derros (sp) looking for a cheap laugh.

School holidays.
