apple store

We’ve known for a long time that Apple was opening a store in Canberra. But the location has been the subject of much speculation.

Threeze has sent in this pic with the following note:

This is totally happening, right?

(old Esprit space, top floor, Canberra Centre, this morning)

So, this will attract more hipsters to the general canberra centre vicinity, but they may be diverted upstairs and coralled in a confined space.

So overall, does this occurrence increase or decrease my aggregate hipster annoyance level?

I don’t know what’s more annoying, people who go on and on about thier phones, or people who go on and on about why other peoples phones are bad.

People that go on.

Apple and Android are played out. I owned both before they were cool.

As if. The iDevice had already been pronounced cool before you or any other random could get their unworthy paws around one!

PS: This site doesn’t load properly for me in Chrome on Android, it never finishes a page and when you stop the bottom of the page isn’t rendered and none of the links work. 😛

Doesn’t that get tiring?

Noticed yesterday that Rebel is vacating it’s current Canberra Centre location and moving upstairs to the old Borders store, where it will be sharing the space with one of the surfing based retalilers. Books For Less appears to moving to a smaller store elsewhere. Coild the soon to be vacated Rebel Store maybe the location for the Apple Store ???

Maybe gungharlin, maybe?!?

well that’s a relief. no more having to endure mac1. crappy service, crappy attitude, interminable turn around times for simple repairs. some of that’s not their fault but the crappy attitude is on them. they (or at least the managers) deserve their rapidly approaching demise.

I wonder if they’ll start suing other stores around them for also having doors and advertising on their shop fronts?

I does works nearby and regular like go truckin’ past the locale. Just waitin’ fo all dem dum fux to line up to be da first one in da door man.

Reckon I might do a good business selling my time to visitors to this new emporium… for $25 I’ll sit with them and pretend to be interested in their ipod or ipad or whatever ifuknosewot is the flavour of the week.

I’m not really sure, but I think that’d be funny if it was translated into English.

Will the store have any Foxconn’s Chinese workers locked in in cages on display, assembling the best that Apple offer???

Great point. I forgot that all the other phones and consumer electronics in the world are made in factories that have a labor force consisting of oompa loompas, unicorns, fairies and magical sunbeams.

Well played, sir! What a fine example of Internet blog comment troll gibberish.

The second hardest thing with having an Android is explaining to people that you are a free thinker, not a povo loser who can’t afford an Iphone.

I have an iPhone ’cause it was the cheap option?

Great. They can fix the speaker that doesn’t work, and we can discuss why it sometimes gets very hot.

The second hardest thing with having an Android is explaining to people that you are a free thinker, not a povo loser who can’t afford an Iphone.

And the hardest thing is having people truely believe you.

Will they have free parking for fixies at the store?

So, when this opens, will I be able to just wander in and get the things that don’t work properly on my iphone fixed?

I’ve found that the best way to fix iPhone problems is to go Android!

so what’s going in to the “THIS AMAZING NEW SHOP AT BELCO IS TOTALLY THE MAC STORE YOU DOUBTERS ARE DUMB” space?

You don’t have to come and confess
We’re lookin for you
We gon find you, we gon find you
So you can run and tell that,
Run and tell that,
Run and tell that, homeboy
Home, home, homeboy

I’m glad they’re putting it in an area I rarely go.

Goodbye Mac1!

You’d think Apple would have more respect for one of their “Premium Resellers” than to open up shop a few hundred metres away, but I guess they wised up to what a hack job Mac1 have been doing.
