Thank you, that was an interesting article. I think (but can’t say absolutely) I have been to the White Rocks mentioned. I saw several cave entrances, but didn’t enter any as I was alone. I took a wrong route, but it was so much more interesting than the route I should have taken, but tough going, scrambling/slithering under thick undergrowth by the river and then the scramble up the white limestone to the top, for the wonderful view over the river. I also plan sometime to visit the mentioned London Bridge.

Not to mention possible remains of the railway bridge over the Molonglo intended to provide the rail link to Melbourne but which was washed out and demolished in the 1929 flood.

I think maybe some logs floating beneath the surface have added to the monster myth, isnt there meant to be a bomb shelter underneath the water near the carillion?
