Holy crap those fish are huge! I have never been fishing, nor been that interested in it, but even I can understand the excitement of catching a fish like that. Bloody amazing and so close by.

Having caught countless trout, 1 yellow belly & no cod I can tell you that there is a lot of years of nothing which goes on before you catch a fish of that magnatude.

One of the tricks of Googong is to have a boat to get you to the spots that no one else can get to. There is limited foot access & only vehicle access at the dam wall. That is not to say that you cannot catch fish in these areas, Redfin are willing & able to dive on a hook & give you some fun. They taste good too.

I couldn’t find it on piratebay…

Did not watch the vid but I hope those were released.

They are small time cod according to my fathers generation who say lake George had man eaters in the waters.

The ones in the vid seem more reasonable.

That beautiful Cod is so lucky to be living Above Queanbeyan. If it was in Burley Griffen it wouldn’t look half as healthy.
Great catch. great release.

Holy carp… What the fap are those fish on??

Did we have any reports of a cargo of steroids accidentally plunging into Googong?

It sounds like bad porn. “Oh yeah, yeah, yes, yes, oh, oh. Oh my God he is a horse.”

Awesome – those things would be great on an oversized barbeque!

holy crap
