I sent the below off to the The National Convention Centre tonight but what do other locals think? Should the NCC have an ATM?

“Why don’t you have an ATM. Went to see don mclean and would have loved a nice cold drink had no cash and just thought in 2011 that the NCC would have had an ATM since the kiosk/bar only took CASH!, I was told to go to the casino or to city walk, a lady with a walking frame just wanted a cold drink also and had no cash and was told the same thing. The largest purpose-built meetings and events facility in the ACT should have an ATM. Yes?”

How about taking some good old fashion cash, it’s accepted every where.

I went to the Handmade Market on Saturday and thought the same thing. Totally my fault for not having money already – meant to, just forgot – but it would’ve been nice to have been able to get cash there rather than trudge up to the Casino. But at least the Casino does have an ATM and you don’t have to go back to the Canberra Centre.

Went to see don mclean and would have loved a nice cold drink…

I would have liked that too, and I had plenty of cash.
Not nice, not cold, super expensive.

It even took some explaining to the girl at the counter that neither Black Douglas nor Bundaberg are bourbons.

I am kinda surprised that they don’t have efposs facilities.

I dunno, I would have thought going out with a $10 or $20 note somewhere on one’s person would not be an outrageous idea. Funny how some people think it’s cool to dispense with cash, only to find their perfect digital world sometimes has to collide with reality.

Surely this should be a poll? Where’s the “Vote” buttons?
(I vote “yes”, FWIW)
