The Pirate Hunt is back and bigger than ever! Once again taking over the city of Canberra, this time on Friday 16th September, in honour of International Speak Like A Pirate Day.

For adults only this time, this game will run in the city centre, with a number of different challenges and obstacles that will remain hidden until the day. You can compete solo, in pairs, in teams, but be aware you may need to turn on each other at a moments notice. Game starts at 8pm.

Tickets are $15, and payment must be in advance. Contact elena@highwire.com.au for registration and payment details.

The first ten pirates to register get a special limited edition pirate badge (estimated value $259)

I saw one of these on Governer’s Island next to NYC last year, and it looked like everyone was having a cracker of a time!

We’ve had a great turn out to the two events I’ve run of these in the past. A whole group of people dressed as pirates tearing through the city. Is there anything better? Some pirates stopped to pose for photos with Gary Humphries last time!

Well done, hope you all have a top time.

Is it possible to get more details on the hunt activities? Or is there somewhere I could get a run down on what happened at previous hunts?

Specific activities for this hunt remain a secret. However some previous activities have included finding hidden objects, solving clues, a small amount of climbing, one legged crutch race, mutinying against team mates, building things, eating weird things, and of course drinking.

International speak like a pirate day?!?! International Talk Like a Pirate Day!!!
