At least according to this website :

http://www.dnscoop.com

Our friend Sam’s website is worth a mere $3,710

Anyone else care to value some local Canberra websites – all in good fun of course! 🙂

Excellent. My website (which only went live yesterday) is worth $10 to international spam whores, and that’s just the way I like it!

I’m sure the ACT Gov could find a couple of ‘international spam whores’ in Fyshwick, who might be interested in their website.

please don’t sell out to international spam whores, lets keep the spam local, ok?

These guys are pricing your value to international spam whores if you sell out the domain, not it’s value to legitimate business activity.

The Canberra times did an article on that year 12 students website.

http://www.harrypotterfanzone.com is worth $34,496

I thought I remember reading it was raking him in $30,000 a year. With the last Harry Potter book coming along soon I can only guess that value of his site is going to go down over time.

Just Bands (well, littlesmoke.com) is worth just over $1000…I think I’ll retire now. 🙂

My sites:

http://gamers-underground.com is worth: $31,525
http://infoaddict.net is worth: $23,159

If only that were true…

I’ll say. I can think of about 6 that link to here, and I don’t go to that many sites!

Also says no sites link to RiotACT which I’m fairly certain is untrue.

Very nice of you to say so Hasdrubahl.

Incidentally Loadedog’s site is worth $1,068.

Money is one thing SGS, but at least on your website our minds are enrichened too…

It’d be nice if they would hand out that money.

I’m not in the least bit surprised that RiotACT is worth a lot more, after all you have enough readers to run direct advertising. Hope that all works out for you.

The ACT Government’s website is worth 4 million dollars. They should sell it off, and replace it with a ‘super’ website.

I note it says http://www.news.com.au is only four days old and gets “Fairly low traffic, but too hard to tell with Alexa rank alone.”

hmm, just a smidge under the Canberra Times and well ahead of allhomes.

interesting but I’m not convinced their methodology is sound for websites aimed at a specific locality.

anyway good for a bit of a giggle.
