Liam Wright is one of the hardest working folkies in CBR: if he’s not out spruiking his wiles out at various events and venues out on weekends, he is touring new material like his latest single, “The Lighthouse“. Check him out this weekend on Sunday as he plays a mammoth three hours from 3 pm at the Old Canberra Inn.
On Thursday night check out the fantastic Wagga Wagga band The Ocean Party at The Phoenix, as they take to the stage with Kilroy and Tangerine to promote their latest 7 inch. On Friday, indie rockers The Postmasters will be launching a new single, “State of Mind”, at The Phoenix, with Brother Be, Flash Anthem and Babe Fiasco, while at the Polish White Eagle Club, check out the excellent garage band Il Bruto as they play with The Snake Oil Preachers and The Ganesayers from 8.30 pm.
There’s plenty on this Saturday, with Melburnian dream pop artist Japanese Wallpaper playing at the UC Hub with local acts Neko Pink and Aphir, while at Mr Wolf, hip-hopper Ivan Ooze, having previously toured with Ice Cube and Cypress Hill, will be taking the stage from 8 pm. But there’s plenty more – check out the links below!
