seniors concert

While we don’t go out of our way to target the wrinkly market our readers might well know someone who’ll enjoy a good old knees up:

The annual free Seniors Concert will be held on Sunday 18 November at the Albert Hall from 2.00 – 4.00 pm.

Details are in the attached ?yer.

The concert has been a free annual event since 1985. Many groups of guests come from aged care faciliJes
and retirement villages but individual guests are requested to register with Council On The Ageing – 6282 3777 – by Wednesday 14 Nov for catering purposes, as afternoon tea is prepared and served by Rotarians and their families on completion. Guests are requested to be seated by 1.50 pm.

The concert is funded by the Rotary Club of Canberra, whose members also provide transport and serve the
afternoon tea. The performance is by Sing Australia, organised by their National Director, Colin Slater. Floral
decorations for the Albert Hall are provided by the Canberra Flower Club and the event is also supported by
Hudsons Catering and St John Ambulance.

If only the Catholic Church was added to the list of supporters.
In the event of things going pear shaped, the punters would have a last supper followed by last rites followed by an ambo ride…

I don’t know, some of the bands featured on this site are old enough to appeal to the ‘wrinkly’ market, JB.

Just sayin’. As one who will know patronising attitudes from yoof All Too Soon.
