The Way We Wear are doing another Vintage Fashion Fair at Albert Hall.

Friday 3 July 6pm – 9pm
Saturday 4 July 10am – 5pm
Sunday 5 July 10am – 4pm
Adults $12, children $6, family $30

The theme this time is “Space Age Fashion”, because it’s the 40th anniversary of the moon landing and the 4th of July weekend.

I expect there will be lots of futuristic 1960’s pieces.

Personally, I’m hoping to go on Friday night and find some 1920’s to 1940’s gear. Don’t like my chances with a futuristic 60’s theme, but I’m sure there will be some cool stuff to see anyway.

That’s a steep entry price.

Man, I wish I lived in 1960’s vision of the World of Tomorrow, 2001 was set just on a decade ago*. 🙁

*: The book and movie both have their space sequences start in 1999 with the moon sequences, and then it leaps to 18 months later with the HAL doing his thing, hence 2001.
