CityNews have got a sad story on the retirement of Theo Moulis, for 25 years the owner of the Tower Restaurant (the one wot goes round in Black Mountain Tower).

Theo ran a quality establishment built on exemplary customer service, and many of the most special nights of my life were spent up there.

We can’t ask him to stay longer just for our enjoyment, but I can only hope whoever comes next is as devoted to quality.

I have to say I’ve had wonderful food and service on three out of three occasions. That’s all I can comment on.

I went there recently and found that what was served didn’t match the description. The service was a bit iffy too. But the view is amazing.

Never been there, Kerces – was referring to my head going round & round….poorly expressed, time of night, sorry.

Terubo, you eat at the Tower once a week?

and I must say, the only time I’ve ever been there both food and service were very lovely.

I go to a restaurant I expect food, service and atmosphere on par or better than what it says on the tin.

I can tell you their vegetarian meals aren’t crash hot either. I went there recently, and when my dishes were presented several ingredients that were listed on the menu just weren’t included. Very odd. Still, you go there for the views, not the food.

In which case, do we deduce that JB is a vegetarian?

Oh my the stories of foul meat that came out of that place…..

Sure hope the poor bugger can still walk in a straight line – going round ‘n round every night for 25 years would do my head in…once a week is bad enuff.
