A 29-year-old Theodore man was arrested earlier today after being caught filming in the women’s toilets at Westfield Woden.
About 2.45 pm police were called to the shopping centre where Westfield security officers detained a man after catching him loitering in and around the women’s toilets.
A search of the man’s phone showed inappropriate images of girls and women while in the women’s toilets.
The man was arrested by members from Woden Police Station and taken to the ACT Regional Watch House.
He is expected to face the ACT Magistrates Court tomorrow where police will be opposing bail.
Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed a similar incident at Woden Westfield or any other shopping centre to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
