Territory And Municipal Services are cross that their barbecues are going missing:
Territory and Municipal Services today urged the community to be alert and report any suspicious activity in our parks and urban open spaces.
This follows the theft of the entire double barbeque unit, including hot plates, the electronic system, batteries and gas bottles from popular recreation hub Murray’s Corner, located on Paddy’s River Road, over the weekend.
“It is incredibly disappointing that people continue to go out into our parks and urban open spaces maliciously destroying or stealing our recreation facilities,” Brett McNamara, Rural District Manager, said today.
Apparently they cost $20,000 to replace.
Would it perhaps be better to get folks to bring their own hibachis?
