Sorry I missed the story on property developers doing it tough …. always makes my heart bleed a little…

A friend of mine has spent the last 10 years working on a property subdivision. Everybody has mode buckets of cash out of it (the council, the subcontractors putting in roads, drainage and landscaping, the banks lending the money) and he’s going to be lucky to break even.
He blames the government taxes and council fees for making it not worth his while. Look forward to less development, fewer new houses, and ever-increasing house prices as a result.

Fair point!

That said, if people don’t develop property, where will our growing population live?

it’s us the final consumers who pay for increases in fees for developers, do you really think they are taking a pay cut. No they just pass the sh#t down the line.

Ew – Sharon Mitchell cooking without her hair tied back. Where are the Food Outlet Police and their Red Sign?

I didn’t see this story but I’ve seen some really silly things, why do they think letting a tv crew wander around the kitchen with a reporter dipping her hand in everything is okay? There was one recently at the Easter Show I think it was, the reporter strolled around sampling this and helping cook that.
