Eastman is innocent.
Griffith mafia did it, and the AFP shut down any investigation.

Umpteen trials and inquiries say he’s guilty. Throw away the key.

A majority in the High Court found Lindy Chamberlain guilty, remember.

Good call. But I don’t recall her clogging up the system with little, to no, new evidence.

Everything seems to be hinging on the “new” evidence of a bloke saying he put a gun in the boot of Eastman’s car many, many years after the murder and subsequent conviction.

What a load of BS.

Eastman is a very clever man. He has had many years to carefully plan his many inquiries and plan for any contingencies that arise from those inquiries. He has had many years to manipulate and convince his former flat mate to make this “admission”.

What does his mate get? A good slice of the compensation that Eastman will receive should he be released.

I have spent a relaxing day reading some of the material on the Internet about this Eastman and it seems to me that there are as many conspiracy theories about this man as there is for the JFK assassination and the moon landing.

I don’t profess to understand the legal system but I have to agree with you about the systematic way he he is playing the system. I pray that you’re wrong but it also makes a lot of sense.

the truth behind the Turbines

The answer to the NIMBY crowd who think wind turbines shouldn’t form part of the energy mix for Australia?

Get all the naysayers over one side of the room. One by one, ask them if they’re connected to the electricity grid. Each one that says yes, advise them they should STFU and accept we all have to share the energy costs, and wind turbines on the landscape are one of those costs.

Anyone who is outside the electricity grid, and lives and works totally grid free, is entitled to voice an anti wind turbine opinion. Methinks the room would be pretty f***ing silent when legitimate objections are called for.

Highlights from the Wind Turbine Story:

Michelle Edwards: My doctor has advised me to move away or be on long term medication.

So many ways to interpret that.

Tony Hodgson (from Friends of Collector): It means we have to read 22 pages a day for 60 days.

Someone isn’t in for all that fancy book learn’n

Shane Mortimer (Ngambiri Elder): The existing turbines must be removed, to allow the lake to regenerate. The plans for new ones will not extinguish our Common Law native title right.

Not sure how wind turbines will affect Lake George, which is in reality a shallow, intermittent basin rather than a lake. As for native title, common law originated, but a legislated right now and there’s no rights in the area.

I’d be careful going near Collector if I were you. You might catch “wind turbine syndrome”.
