This in from our friends at the ABC:

1st show of the year – new look, revamped opening and set –we’ve done most of it ourselves on the cheap – looks beautiful and blue.

Old Chris Kimball back as compere. … so that’s good news before we even begin.

1. Pegasus might have to close its stable doors forever – without immediate assistance from the ACT government. –

2. BlazeAid – the volunteers who’ve turned up to help the burnt out farmers of Bookham.

3. Tribune Tribute The people of Yass sing the praises of the local paper – which became the sole source of reliable local information during the recent bushfire –through their Facebook and Twitter feeds. So at a time when major newspapers are threatened – local papers – and websites – are coming into their own.

4. Future Forests Chris Kimball visits the Arboretum at both at dawn and dusk to meet the people who’ve planted the trees.

5. Closer – Canberra in the 50s and 60s.
