This just in from our friends at the ABC:
1. North South Divide
A booth by booth analysis shows that the inner north suburb of Ainslie voted Labor – whilst its inner south equivalent, Deakin voted Liberal. Jeremy Thompson investigates the North South Divide ( not all that seriously ). The original Ainslie was a larrikin and Deakin, of course, founded the precursor to the Liberal Party – so their legacies continue?
2. Hawke for the Raiders
Allan Hawke – former public service big wig is the new Chair of the Canberra Raiders. The team also has a new coach – so will next season be a better one?
3. Googong Giants
The Googong dam is home to the largest ever Murray Cod. Two fishermen film-makers spend all their free time there fishing, filming then freeing them.
4. At Her Excellency’s Pleasure
The GG invited our crew for an exclusive visual tour of the house prior to tomorrow’s Open Day for the hoi polloi.
5. A Black Sky – short excerpt from a new opera by Canberrans about the Canberra bush fires a decade ago. ( closer )
