The public is also advised that several park and recreation areas are closed, including:
Namadgi National Park; Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve; Googong Foreshores; Pine Island recreation area; Point Hut Crossing recreation area; Kambah Pool recreation area Uriarra Crossing East and West recreation areas; Walking tracks and recreation areas below the Cotter Dam; The National Arboretum; Molonglo Gorge; Woods Reserve; and All forest areas.

Uriarra Crossing and Swamp Creek Crossing are now closed due to flooding.
The ACT State Emergency Service strongly advises parents to make sure their children stay away from large bodies of water.

The ACT State Emergency Service has been contacting residents cut off by flooding south of Tharwa in the ACT on Nass and Smith Roads to assess their needs over the next few days.
NSWSES are currently doing similar for residents in the area on the other side of the border.
There are no plans for evacuation from the area at this stage but will be coordinated between ACTSES and NSWSES if required in the future.
ACT Government staff are also keeping a close eye of the rising waterways across the ACT including Jerrabomberra Creek at Fyshwick.
Commonwealth Avenue off ramp to Parkes Way is still closed because of flooding.

The ACT State Emergency Service (ACTSES) has been advised by BOM to expect the rain to continue throughout the day.
Corin Road at the intersection of Paddys River Road is now closed.
TAMS crews are about to arrive at William Hovell Drive/ Glenloch Interchange to repair pot holes.
Drivers are urged to take extreme care as visibility can be difficult.
A close watch is being kept on water levels in Jerrabomberra Creek where it flows under Canberra Avenue at Fyshwick.
ACTSES is placing personnel at 0aks Estate as a precaution only to monitor water levels but flooding of properties is not expected.

Canberra Avenue at the Jerrabomberra Creek Bridge in Fyshwick is expected to be closed within an hour because of flooding.
Road detours will be put in place. Motorists are urged to avoid the area if possible.

One lane of Northbourne Avenue, Northbound, before Morphett Street in Dickson is now closed to allow for the repair of a collapsed storm water pipe.
Canberra Avenue is also now closed in both directions between Hume Place and the Monaro Highway due to flooding.
Motorists are urged to avoid these areas if possible. Detours are in place via Sturt Avenue, Jerrabomberra Avenue and Hindmarsh Drive.
The ACT ESA would like to notify residents travelling on roads in these areas to expect delays and thanks motorist for there patience and understanding.

A small section of Northbourne Avenue near Australian Capital Tourism Centre has been reduced to two lanes.
Canberra Avenue is closed at Jerrabomberra Creek bridge. A detour will be in place but motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.
ACTION Bus Line’s Red Rapid 200 route will now start and end at the Kingston Railway Station, rather than DFO.
The Kings Highways has also been reduced to one lane in both directions between the Molonglo River and the roundabout to access the Defence Building Joint Operations Headquarters. Motorist should consider taking a detour due to expected delays.
Cotter bridge is now closed. Uriarra residents and construction vehicles are still permitted to use the road.

Black Mountain Road is now closed. Majura Road from Federal Highway to Mustang Avenue is closed. There will be limited access for local traffic.
School bus services along Majura Road will still operate with some short delays.
Tidbinbilla Road is closed at the intersection of Booromba Road through to Paddy’s River Road.
Cotter Road is closed at Casurina Sands.
Motorists are advised to slow down, to take caution and drive to the conditions.

The Naas Road bridge over the Gudgenby River near Top Naas has been breached by water and may be structurally unsafe. Residents should not attempt to cross this bridge until it has been assessed. It will be assessed once the river level has dropped. In the meantime barricades are being erected.
Please be reminded that Apollo Road, Naas Road and Boboyan Road are closed to public access.

Black Mountain Road is now open and a reminder that Canberra Avenue at the Jerrabomberra Creek Bridge, Fyshwick (between Hume Place and Monaro Highway)will be closed from 7:30pm until at least 7:00am tomorrow.
ACT State Emergency Service has now received a total of 419 calls for help since 3:00pm Tuesday. Additional support is being provided by ACT Fire & Rescue and the ACT Rural Fire Service and Territory and Municipal Services directorate.
Residents who require assistance from the ACTSES can call 132 500.
