ETravelBlackboard.com brings us this news that Australian Capital Tourism’s latest rebranding of Canberra as the capital of “Aussie icons, myths and legends, this time with the slogan “See for yourself”, will be using local paranormal investigator Tim the Yowie Man as it’s public face, including in a series of television commercials.

Can’t be any worse that the “Feel the Power of Canberra” campaign can it? (although that one was at least funny…)

I like Canberra, but I must agree. It’s not an exciting city at all. Heck, Geelong is more eciting (great shops, cafes and attractions) and it’s basically an industrial city.

Canberra is boring.

Hmmm…this is harder than I thought!

Oh please! It is about time ACT started highlighting the exciting parts of Canberra. All of the recent campaigns have merely confirmed the greater public’s view of Canberra being a boring place to visit.

(although that one was at least funny…)

I should explain… I had a mate whose surname was Power and who on occasion would use that as a pick up line.
