Transporting goods from Sydney to Canberra

Yeh and screw up your credit record in the process by having a new credit application listed, then a default listed, just because you cancel the card doesn’t mean if they make a claim against you it won’t affect your credit rating you do realise? That’s not particularly smart advice there henry….

Catch the bus up there for $15, pay for the van one-way, you’ll get it over and done with for under $200.

A ute or trailer would be the way to go for big items like that.

Anything voluminous is expensive to transport via couriers. It will need to be boxed up as well. Try interparcel for a represenative quote. Greyhound also have a parcel service.

You could try renting a wagon on weekend rates, presuming the items can be dismantled. Or borrow a mate’s trailer.

Either way you probably won’t get it cheaper than the $100 or so petrol would cost you. Your other option is to back out of the purchases and bargain-hunt locally.
