At 2:10 PM today, emergency services were called to the Hume Highway at Marulan following reports of a serious crash between a sedan and a truck.
The initial investigation suggests that following the collision, the truck left the roadway and crashed into a tree. The truck driver died at the scene.
The passenger of the truck as well as the driver and passenger of the sedan are being treated for serious injuries and will be airlifted to hospital.
A crime scene has been established and investigations are continuing. A brief will be prepared for the Coroner.
