Rioter qedbynature was awoken this morning at 6.30am by a truck running into his Ainslie home. He took this video for us.

He’s OK aside from a stiff neck after his bed jumped a foot.

I had a Hilux crash into my house on Australia Day. Pulled up about a metre short of my bedroom, and the main damage was to the garage when the idiot tried to get away. As the guy was drunk and therefore not insured, it was a matter of claiming on my buildings insurance. Almost four months later and only a very small part of the repair has been done, and that at such a poor standard that it has to be pulled down and re-done. Sigh, I’m over it. I’m not feeling lucky.

But you should be! Way too close to your head for comfort. But a lottery ticket.

no news on the fire house down the road, its just sitting there empty/ no work…

Handbrake failure, or a lack of application is the culprit. The truck finished up about 6 inches from where I was sleeping.

Sheesh! I wondered what the fire truck and cop cars were doing there this morning. Truck missed the corner from Duffy Street?

Thanks for solving the mystery, and glad to hear you’re OK. Sorry about your house and neck tho’ and hope you’re insured.

Incidentally, any news on the old lady 2 doors up, whose house caught fire some weeks back?

Crumbs!

I expected to read about this on RA, but didn’t think we’d be getting a ringside seat.

In a small way, the impression made by the bumper on the inside wall provides a few lulz. Thank goodness nobody was seriously hurt.

Clean your room!!!!!!!!!

Seriously though, glad you are OK, let me guess…..handbrake left off/doesnt work?
