The Tuggeranong Salvation Army have let us know about their caroling plans for Tuggeranong Town Park.
Community activities are an important ingredient in “building community” and the Salvation Army’s Carols in Town Park – Tuggeranong has developed into a large and great event to Celebrate Christmas – the Christmas Story and Community with in excess of 3,000 people in attendance at our last Carols.
This event has built up over the last ten years from being in the car park behind the Salvos in Tuggeranong to moving to Town Park in 2006.
Carols in Town Park presented by the Tuggeranong Salvation Army, supported by the Vikings Group is happening on Sunday 18th December 2011.
This year’s event is going to be bigger than ever – with jumping castles and slides, patting paddock and pony rides for the kids and a special visit from Santa from 5pm. There will be food and drinks on sale at reasonable prices.
The carols will commence at 7pm with the Tuggeranong Salvation Army Band & Timbrels, the 100-voice 666 ABC Canberra Community Choir and local artist, Katie de Veau leading the carols.
This is family-orientated event and we would love for the Canberra Community to come out in force to joy in the Christmas Spirit.
