Tuggers wreathed in smoke - Comrade on the defensive

Our Brave Leader has been forced to put out a media release apologising for the smoke which covered Tuggeranong yesterday after predicted weather did not arrive, and in fact the worst possible weather in the shape of an inversion trapped the smoke from a back-burn into the valley.

The Canberra Times has predictable coverage, in which residents want the gold standard until they’re asked to pay for it.

With my knowledge of the bureaucratic mind I do wonder if some in the ACT Public Service, having been forced to burning off by public opinion, are being bloody minded in their selections. But there’s little to be done about it and, once they get over themselves, the disruptions should abate.
