Facebook brings word that tweed will again ride forth on Saturday to strike fear into the hearts of bicycle hating publicans across the city. (And bring joy and riches to bicycle loving publicans).

Greetings fine folk! Canberra Tweed is very proud to present to you the Fourth Canberra Tweed Ride.

We shall be departing from Gorman House Markets at 12, and heading for Olims, followed by Edgars, before a leasurly ride down to King’s Park on the shore of Lake Burley Griffin, for an afternoon of picnicking and chapply persuits.

As is Tweed Tradition, prizes will be awarded to the best dressed, and best bike, courtesy of the fantastic Darling Sisters, and Callahan Bicycles.

Watch this space for a mapped out route, and further details!

And the route map can be viewed here:

Or is the master brewer and the owner different people?

Correct, although I got the impression that the services of the brewer weren’t part of the sale contract.

I haven’t heard anything about the sale for a while so I don’t know if it’s happened yet.

C’mon kitty.

I mean, “I say. Spiffing!”

Are you serious??

I was wondering why my beer didn’t taste all that good when I was there the other day…

Now that the Wig and Pen has changed hands (I’m assuming it has changed hands by now) maybe they will welcome the bicycles again.
