ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery in Macgregor yesterday (Monday 15, February).
Around 12.15pm a 21-year-old man was walking his dog along Hayward Street. When he reached the Florey Drive bridge a group of five males came out from underneath and approached him.
One of the offenders threatened him with a tyre iron, demanding he hand over his belongings. The victim refused and the offender attempted to hit him with the tyre iron. The victim handed over his belongings and the group ran off along the walkway under the bridge, heading towards Latham.
One of the offenders is described as Caucasian, aged in his early 20s, with black messy hair and a moustache. He was wearing a white T-shirt with writing on the front and blue jeans.
Police ask anyone who was in the area at that time and may have seen people matching the description to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
