Police were shell shocked to discover a boot load of bootleg abalone in a Canberra man’s car, along with cash and scales. Sounds like a fishy character.

No wonder my abalone always has the taste & texture of old car tyres…

My vote goes to EtFb. Funny stuff.

Seafood transported in a car boot. Hmmmm….another very good reason never to buy seafood from some bloke you met in a pub.

“Batemans Bay highway patrol stopped a 56-year-old Canberra man on the Princes Highway and allegedly found 234 shucked abalone hidden in the spare tyre cavity of the boot of his car”

“The 86 abalone confiscated were returned live to the water”

It would appear that 148 are still at large. Officers have been given orders – Shoot to Kill

What part of the fish weighs the most ?

The scales.

that would be the scales of justice……

apparently he was charging 10 squid a kilo….

They must be fish scales.

A real challenge would have been to get the mercury in the fish.

If only he’d been driving an American luxury Ford automobile — then he could be arrested for having illegal levels of fish in a Mercury. Boom, tish!

Thank you, thank you, I’m here all week. Try the veal!
