La vida

Today with our Unearthed Review hat on we bring you the toe tapping groove of La Vida.

There are nearly 700 Canberra bands with tracks on the TripleJUnearthed website. In 2011 we’re going to explore them. (Previous reviews are available)

Today’s random selection is La Vida who, describe themselves thusly:

A Canberra band that just loves playing music, joking around and having fun. We have a chilled/funky sound which we all enjoy and hope you all do as well!

These guys are actually very good.

The Jack Johnson influence stands out, but they’re not as tiresome and dull as that tediously over-rated waste of oxygen.

It’s cruisey, funky, all round musical goodness.

Four stars.

They might be good, but that is not a good photo. Or is this a photo from their year 10 long weekend camping trip? 😉
