Unidentified Flying Object over Kaleen?

Did anyone see a bright white flying object over Kaleen/Barton Highway area around 9:35 tonight? It was quite high in the air – at first it appeared to be a firework of some sort…but it was too high (would have been perhaps 200-300 feet in the air) and the white light shone for several seconds longer then a normal firework would. It’s trajectory followed a wide arc.

Just wondering if anyone knows anything or anyone else saw it?

Well I don’t know about anyone else, but I did saw a big green light come right down over the mountains on Friday evening (in the Weston Creek area looking south-west). It was very bright and larger than usual, and it was green. I thought it was space junk.

So there you go.

I think the ‘dead will walk the earth’ bit was talking about the Y generation. Bone stupid and can only play Playstation.

“The Zombie Survival Guide” by Max Brooks (Mel Brooks’ son). Should be a required tome in every household, sitting on the shelf next to everyone’s copy of “How to Survive Y2K” 🙂

I also highly recommend Brooks’ “World War Z”, a “factual” account of the great 10 year Zombie war.

Read these books, and you’ll be ready for the Zombie Apocalypse.

It’s coming, I tells ya! It’s in Revelation people!!!

Well, see, it depends a bit on the sort of zombies you are dealing with. If they are zombies which can’t smell you out, then you head for an apartment up the top of a very tall building with a very solid door and then wait it out until they stop moving. If they are zombies which can smell you and will come looking for you, then you have to head to the sticks and wait it out there, keeping on moving and stopping only in very wide open spaces where you can see them coming for far away. There is a book on how to survive a zombie attack in the ACT library. Yes, someone took the time to write a book on this.

Always good for a laugh.

My zombie plan has been called into a point of resolution – my original plan involves going to a hardware store, and running the risk that I can negotiate any problems there.

Through discussions, is it either better to risk it, or wait in the sticks until the coast is clearer to get the essential hardware kinds of things ?

So that’s why you need the boat!

Probably an old space turd coming home.

Perhaps it was Zed instead’s policies.

Oh noes! I have a pre-prepared Zombie survival plan but no Triffid survival plan. Parts of my Zombie plan will work, but the hiding out until they stop moving and then all is safe part won’t work…. the triffids will never stop!

Well, at least we know why the submitter of this article has chosen that particular handle.

I saw it from Gungahlin, out toward Sutton.
I assume it was a very bright meteorite.
I would though like to take this opportunity to thank Chairman John, benevolent leader of the Republic of Stanhopia for deflecting it out of the territory, probably with his hair.

argh, an invasion of the Working Families monsters.

But it did make a long drawn out noise tha sounded a bit like “soooooooooorrrrrrrrrrryyyyyyyyy” as it flew overhead!

Liberal Stooge! 😉

If it hung around for a while it could have been a parachute flare.

Kevin Rudd’s over-inflated ego re-entering Australia after his overseas “Salute to the President of the Free World” tour?

perhaps some fool was playing with a flare gun.

With a green tail, it’s highly likely it was a meteorite. I saw one a few years back, just happened to be looking out the window at the right time. It looked like a green flare going off a couple of K’s away, but it turned out to have been about 250 K’s away.

They don’t happen that brightly very often, so very cool if you managed to catch it 🙂

Yeah i’m pretty sure it was not a firecracker but it looked kind of like one.
The front of it was birght white and there was a green tail that look kind of sparkly.

This was seen down in Woden too. It appeared to be too high in the sky for a firecracker…

I’m glad sombody else saw this as well.
We were sitting in our living room in melba when we saw a bright flash out side. i was looking at the window at the time and i saw the firecracker looking thing. It was quite amazing, the flash was bright enough that people who had their backs facing the window still noticed it.

Hurm… i really want to know what it was.

HAahahahahahaha!

It’s school holidays, and fireworks are available in Fyshwick.

finally they are coming to take me away. If anyone wants to join me, it is as easy as depositing $1000 into my bank account ( far cheaper than most other cults!!).
