In a tenuous link, the past two times I have bought home brew supplies, I have found several cans on the shelf where the yeast packet has been liberated from the fine work of the Coopers family.
Why would someone steal a 30cent packet of yeast? Surely the home bread bakers can’t be that frugal?
Thoughts please beery types …

They’re just getting a rise out of you.

And I’m sulking as I have to miss the festival.

Already bought a ticket, and I’d like to support craft brewers, grow the scene, and introduce a friend to the wonderful world of craft beer!

Micro-brewed beer is the one and only psuedo-elitist hipster indulgence that I allow myself. Please feed my smug sense of self-satisfaction.

I’ve always loved beer, I’ve recently developed a passion for making my own craft brews. I need to absorb as much (inspiration) as I can.

Wig & Pen do a beetroot beer, as do 4 Pines. But they’re not listed. I wonder who’s it is?

The black pilsner would be the one from Pinchgut I reckon.

2 Brothers Guvner is a great barley wine. It’s around 10% ABV. That’s double strength for a pale but standard strength for a barley wine.

HopDog just tweeted that they’ll be serving Horns Up (Rye IPA), Redhopulous (American Red Ale), Cosmic Highway (American Pale Ale) & SuperBeast (10.5% barley wine)… so maybe that’s the barley wine mentioned in the post.

… and the beetroot beer is an occasional one from Pinchgut called The Stray Root.

Hey you, beer me. Beer me always. That’s the way it should be.

Because my boyfriend has trained me to like beer, mostly beers from micro breweries around Australia. So Instead of travelling to them I can visit them all in one place and then travel to our favorites (Grumpy’s, Steam Exchange, Wig and pen, that one in Fyshwick)

Because this is about the Spirit of Australia. Local business employing local people producing great product free from corporate interference. Support your local brewer!

My reason: Please save me from the standard CUB beers… i want taste godammit!

I want our craft beer scene to resemble Portland’s in the USA – and to enjoy supporting its growth in the meantime 🙂

I don’t need 25 words; I will give you a short inebriated dance*

*more of a shuffle

Because I need the money for the cab home.

I need to convince my mate that not all Australian beer is crap.

I want a free ticket because I like my beer to be brewed… and small… (?)

Rather than being carbon based, I am actually a beer based life form. A free ticket to this gig is necessary to ensure my survival.

Count those words…25…no more, no less. 🙂

free ticket: then I don’t have to buy my husband a birthday present.

House being renovated. Living in 3 rooms with batshit crazy stressed wife and 2 kids. I really really really really need a drink (or ten).

I would really like a free pass, because I have never tried beer and this seems like a good opportunity to start 🙂

I’d love to try some exciting new beers and take on the inspiration for my own brewing. Double Barleywine just sounds like Yum.

Because I like drinking beer.

As I’m working that day, I cannot go. Give me the ticket, and at least I’ll have the pleasure of denying someone else a freebee.

Its my BFF’s birthday (30th no less!) and we didn’t realise you had to buy tickets. Can we please have them for free?

Free ticket reason: Because life is too short to drink s*** beer… and it’s the only way the wife will let me go!

I would like a free ticket coz it’s just like a regular ticket, only liberated. A ticket-of-leave, if you will. Just like the great man, James Squire himself.

Free ticket: Beer beer beer beer beer beer beer beer beer beer beer beer beer beer beer beer beer beer beer beer beer beer beer beer beer.

Free ticket reason: For the enjoyment of alcohol. Nothing to do with the self-promotion that comes with the winning of said tickets.
