Van with orange lights doing the rounds

I live in Franklin and over the past few weeks during evening time, there has been a van that has an orange flashing light on top, goes around the neighbourhood, stops in front of houses, signalling his presence with a loud bell.

Any idea what he’s peddling?

Seems a squiz out the window would have answerred this question.

I did but it was too dark.

Will try his icecream the next time he’s back in my ‘hood.

It is “home icecream” actually (not homemade). It isn’t single cones, you buy boxes of 10 icecreams, or normal tubs of icecream – macadamia crunch is nice. They usually come the same day of the week, so you can prepare to rush out and grab a new box.

Back in the day when we were kids in Narrabundah, the milk was delivered over night (by my dad among others), fruit and veg came on the back of a truck to your street, and so did “I like Swipe” cleaning products, although how much of that one needs on a weekly basis is questionable.

The jelly-top ice creams from the Home guy are a big hit in our place.

it’s ice cream – the van, or one similar, was peddling its wares inner north in the cold and rain a few weeks ago, mid winter. i wondered if the driver wondered why no-one was rushing out to purchase a cone…

Homemade icecream (that is their business name).
It is great stuff!

Go up and ask them?

Don’t suppose the van had “Debt Collectors” written on the side? (Hyuck, hyuck!)

We are in Franklin and haven’t seen this guy but last night there was a ute driving up near the Red Hill reserve about 10pm with a guy with a spot light on the back. Was hoping they were going to target some of the rabbits that have destroyed the landscape but alas, no rifles or traps were seen.

Ice cream.
