ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery at Civic Video at the Wanniassa shops last night (Friday 25 February).

Around 9.15pm the male offender entered the store and demanded money. The staff member handed the offender a sum of money after which the offender left the store.

Following the incident, the offender was seen running past the Wanniassa Tavern. He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, mid twenties with a slim build. He was wearing black sunglasses, black beanie, black hooded jumper, and black three quarter pants.

Police are seeking any witnesses who may have been in the area of the Wanniassa shops, particularly Civic Video or the Wanniassa Tavern on Friday evening around 9.15pm, who can assist in the investigation, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au.

Misleading title much?

I agree. I was very concerned about the “aggravated robbery” but I was even more concerned about the aggravated apprehension…………

[Bevis and Butthead] Snurrttt… He said “fingered” huh huh huh huh huh titter… [/Bevis and Butthead

Boney, how is the title misleading? It might be trite, corny, cliche and hackneyed, but it does summarise the police report, and so can’t really be misleading. It does add ‘armed’; there’s nothing in the police report saying he’s armed, although I too would assume that aggravated implies a weapon of some kind…

But more to the point, I’m still waiting for the Wanniassa-bashers to start…

Fingered by someone from the Wanniassa Tavern?? Talk about immediate punishment!!

“Wanniassa Tavern drinkers finger armed thief”?

Misleading title much?

nath20b – ah, he ran past it as he was legging it out of there, as included in the crime report.

What has this got to do with the Wanniassa Tavern?
