The National Capital Authority is giving you the chance to explain Canberra to tourists!

The National Capital Authority is holding two information sessions this week on becoming an interpretive volunteer.

Interpretive volunteers present tours and information to visitors at the National Capital Exhibition and Blundells Cottage.

Full training is provided and regular social activities are held.

‘If you enjoy meeting people, and are passionate about our national capital, then come along to an information session to find out more.

‘Volunteers assist with a wide variety of interesting and educational activities, including hosting tours, making presentations, conducting walking tours, or helping with special events,’ said Seona Doherty, Exhibition Facilities Manager.

The information sessions are at:

    — Thursday 2 September 2010, from 2.00 to 3.00pm. National Capital Exhibition, Commonwealth Park, Parkes
    — Friday 3 September 2010, from 10.00 to 11.00am. Blundells Cottage, Wendouree Drive, Parkes

I had the same thought. I think interpretive dance is probably the best way to explain Canberra and I’ll bravely volunteer for the job!

it doesn’t say it’s not interpretive dance… 😉
