My daughter’s childcare centre is a not for profit centre (part of South side children’s services) – they are struggling with resources and have hardly any books! They’ve put out a call for more books. Does anyone out there have old childrens books that they’d be happy to part with?

Any donations would be gratefully received.

Padoof and Catty – thanks for your responses!

Many thanks Padoof for your generous offer – the editor will send my email address to you so we can make appropriate arrangements for collection/drop off!

Ask the Public Library. They throw out HUGE quantities of books and many of them are in good condition. They love any publicity so you could always suggest some publicity for them.

I have some! Some might be a bit too old (I mean for the children), but there’s a great Dorling Kindersley Encyclopedia. Happy to drop them off at the childcare centre if that helps.
