Watching skaters hurt themselves in Canberra

We love a good skating video here at RiotACT. And one where the skaters hurt themselves is a bonus.

AussieFreestylers have posted this vid to YouTube with the following note:

Aussie Freestylers clothing and its bmx and skate team took to the streets of canberra along with the film crew for the queens birthday long weekend

Great video. So refreshing to see a skate film without a single skateboard dolly shot or fisheye lens. Thumbs up to the producer(s). Would have been good to see some titles though, just to put names to some of the sweet moves (especially the guy busting out on the BMX from 7 mins in).

This is about as boring as watching surfing and skiing videos. One lame crash at 4:45

Which is my main concern about legalising recreational drugs – waiting for stoned dudes to get on with anything is extremely annoying.

Pretty good vid. Only downside for me (other then buffering issues at this end) was the couple of clips of people introducing the parks. I understand the skater off the cuff no rehearsing approach, but I got sick of waiting for the stoned dude to stop saying ummm and get on with it.

I enjoy watching other people get hurt as much as the next person, but I can’t help thinking that some of those guys would do well to wear more protective gear, at least a helmet.

Those concrete skate parks look very unforgiving.
