Water Tanks and Installers

Noezis 7 July 2010 2

I am looking to install a 5000L round water tank at our home, our second.  The first installation we had was through a local company, they were ok but we were not 100 per cent happy with their service, in particular their installers/plumbers leaving cigarette butts in our vegetable garden and all over the back yard.

I’d be interested to hear of any companies that you have dealt with that you are happy with and would recommend.  We would prefer for the installer to also be the water tank supplier.

What’s Your opinion?

We have a Tankmasta tank, chosen because of three factors: ability to colour match to Colourbond colours used in our house, can be placed directly onto a sand bed rather than concrete pad, and can be buried up to 1/3 height, reducing the visual impact on us and our neighbours.

We purchased it from Enviro-Friendly in Phillip, but have to admit that their service levels are wanting. Mainly because of good people and a good business growing too fast for them to cope I think though…

9000L was a good size. Fills with about 40mm of rain (whole house is plumbed to it), and as said is not too imposing when half buried. About 2.3m diameter.
