During a progress inspection of the ongoing ‘asbestos wasteland’ to ‘urban paradise’ transformation in Molongolo on the weekend I was lucky enough to witness this amazing use of a standard sized box trailer.

I can assure you that the perspective of the photo isn’t playing tricks on your eyes, the scrap metal is above the top of the traffic lights.

I, for one, applaud this environmental initiative. If the driver had taken two trips they would have used significantly more petrol…

It was a silver/purple Hyundai Excel, a car renowned for its stump pulling torque.

Seeing as they appear to be heading into Molonglo, perhaps they realise there’ll be a great big hole in which to stuff all that crap once they dig out all the asbestos.

You’re mistaken. It’s actually an artist delivering their latest taxpayer-funded work titled “Suburban misgivings”.

Heh, kinda looks like some of that public art we keep getting.
