We can forget about Federal centenary funding?

By johnboy - 1 April 2011 3

Liberal Leader Zed Seselja is raising the unfortunate point that the Commonwealth has committed funds to the War Memorial for the 2015 Anzac centenary, and yet has committed nothing to the looming 2013 Canberra Centenary.

A bit like my date on Wednesday night it might be time to admit to ourselves that they aren’t coming?

What’s Your opinion?

Because if this was an event in any of the 5 majors we would be paying for it, at least in part.

I assume it’s Hobart that would miss out too.

And why should the Feds fund it? No-one outside Canberra gives a rat’s, so why should they have to pay?
