The ABC informs us that sentencing has been delayed in the case of Wendy Studman, 47, who over a year paid herself an extra $42,000 from the coffers of her employer.

The prosecution argued that Studman planned the thefts and progressively increased the amounts as she continued to get away with the crime.

Studman told the court she struggles to understand why she stole the money but says she was under severe stress at the time because her 14-year-old daughter underwent open heart surgery.

Sometimes it’d be nice to see the courts throwing extra years on sentences just for weaselling to the court.

My then 11 year old daughter had open heart in 2007 in Sydney and I didn’t need to embezzle a cent to be with her.

She’ll get off with a slight slap on the wrist and a good behaviour bond. Nothing more, nothing less.

The Devil made her do it?

Sometimes it would be nice to see the courts throw a sentence……full stop
