Population growth figures released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics today show the ACT’s population boom has slowed.

The ABC reports Canberra’s population growth for the 12 months to September last year was only 0.5 per cent. This is three times less than Queensland, Western Australia and Tasmania. The Northern Territory had the largest population increase with 1.7 per cent.

Previously the ACT has lead the country’s population growth rates.

And our official population (well, as of last September)? 325, 800

I’m not surprised. I never had so many advances spurned as in the last 12 months. Maybe I should stop taking them to Maccas.

As long as the one for the treasurer doesn’t have his ears or his boss’s morals and eyebrows.

don’t forget…one for the treasurer, one for the missus, and one to brag about down the pub to the boys…

So they want us to go out and try for babies? If its for my government, I might just try to see what I can do.

so why do the housing industry continue to demand land releases ?

should help with the rent anyway
