I was a little miffed when i attended the wblc yesterday for a beer and a few bucks in the pokies, I was a little surprised to find all the pokies turned off and will not be turned back on until thursday, I was informed that they have been off from monday for a audit.

My question is why would they all be turned off at once? I am thinking they have made a serious breach of something.

Does anyone know anything more?

God forbid you not being able to get your gambling fix!
Maybe you should consider online gambling. It is far more sociable after all.

trying to save people from themselves. If only they never are turned on again.

We when down for dinner last night and hubby over heard that they were late paying for gaming license and were fined and part of fine was loss of pokies for 3 days.

And yes WBLC have been taken over by Raiders club group.

I heard that underaged patrons were found unaccompanied on the premises. Not sure of details.

Could be an external audit by the ACT Gov. And they’d only do that if there were big variances across a number of machines. I have seen individual machines turned off because of paying out either too much or too little – but never the whole lot!

Wasn’t WBLC taken over recently? Maybe there has been something fishy going on and the new owners are trying to get to the bottom of it….
