Due to current and forecasted wet weather conditions for the weekend, Canberra residents are advised to check for road and park closures before heading out to the Territory’s parks and reserves.

Various rural roads have already been closed, including Bendora Dam Road and Mount Franklin Road, with other roads likely to close over the weekend. Angle Crossing also remains closed.

“While all park areas remain open at this point, weather conditions may require us to close all or parts of our parks and reserves at short notice,” said Daniel Iglesias, Director, ACT Parks and Conservation.

“Members of the public that do decide to venture out to Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve or Namadgi National Park over the next few days for bushwalking and similar activities are advised to check in at the Visitor Centre at each location to get the latest advice on conditions.
