Definately a European Wasp.

Vespula Germanica

Thorax, wrong shape, not hairy.
Abdomen, wrong shape, not hairy.
Wings, wrong shape, wrong colouring.
Legs, wrong colour.

IE: Not a European wasp (vespula germanica).

Stop trying to panic people.

It looks like a sawfly, I’m going to guess at Lophyrotoma zonalis? (ie: Melaleuca\Paperbark Sawfly)
I thought they only lived in QLD, Northern NSW, and parts of Victoria though. 😐
