These were seen down at the pond in Glenloch Cork Oak forest, anyone know what sort they are?

No idea what they are, but great shots. Well done.

The red one is definitely a Nannophya dalei also known as the Eastern Pygmyfly.

I think these are the “vermouth mongui” variety. The male one has the purple upper body.

Great photos. Dragonflys are my fave – since long before they became “fashionable decor”.

Absolutely wonderful: the way the veins in the wings are like those in a leaf.
